Pain

Traditional Chinese medicine is one of the most effective alternative therapies for the treatment of pain. Its effectiveness to reduce or eliminate pain ranging from muscular tension to cancer related pain has been documented in several scientific studies. Traditional Chinese medicine aims at resolving the energetic root cause of the symptom, thus preventing deeper and more chronic conditions. Some of the most common conditions treated in our center are:

• Back and Neck Pain

• Lower Back and Sciatic Pain

• Menstrual Pain

• Headaches

• Arthritis

• Foot Pain

• Sport Injuries

Cancer (oncology support)

An increasing number of oncologists are now recommending acupuncture for the treatment of many side effects caused by chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. Traditional Chinese medicine is very effective in helping cancer patients to better cope with the side effects of conventional cancer treatments, and to enhance their immune system thus improving their prognosis.

Weight Management

Our weight control plan includes body and auricular acupuncture, Chinese herbal remedies and nutritional supplements. These therapies have proven to be highly effective in regulating the body's metabolism, strengthening the digestive organs, and in helping the patient to balance emotional and mental imbalances often linked to obesity.

Stress

We can help you reduce and better manage your stress. Our treatment plan combines acupuncture with oriental bodywork, herbal medicine and meditation exercises to help you reduce or eliminate physical, emotional and mental conditions caused by stress.

Smoking Cessation

Smoking can be one of the hardest addictions to break, but its benefits far surpass the pain of quitting. We can help you make this process much easier by reducing or preventing the anxiety, irritability and strong urge to smoke often experienced by people trying to stop smoking. Many people also experience strong detoxifying symptoms such as headaches, sinus congestion, cough, etc. Traditional Chinese medicine can minimize or prevent many of these uncomfortable symptoms.

Our protocol includes:

• Acupuncture

• Auricular therapy

• Chinese herbal medicine

• Cupping

Pediatric Conditions

Kids under six years old are treated with needles-less therapies such as Tui Na pediatric massage, acupressure and Korean Hand Therapy. Parents are given sample but effective bodywork techniques and nutritional recommendations to help their child stay healthy.

Anxiety and Depression

Traditional Chinese Medicine offers a safe and highly effective alternative to conventional drug therapy. Traditional Chinese Medicine holds that depression and anxiety are the result of internal organ’s energetic imbalances caused by physical and emotional stressors. Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine work by restoring the energetic balance of the affected organs, thus brightening your mood and making you more relaxed.

Initial Visit

Your initial visit is approximately ninety minutes long. You will first be asked to fill out some forms that include medical history and other legal forms. Once these forms are completed you will be taken to one of our treatment rooms where we'll talk about your medical history and the reason of your visit. We will then conduct an objective examination that includes palpation of the pulse, abdomen, and the affected area, observation of the tongue, and a computerized exam (electro meridian analysis). Once the examination is completed we will discuss the findings of the examination and the recommended treatment plan. The last part of your visit is the treatment.
